An age-hardenable alloy, AerMet® 100 is an ultra-high strength martensitic stainless steel.
AerMet® 100 has high strength and superior toughness combined with exceptional ductility and hardness. The alloy is designed for components that need to have ultra-high strength.

AerMet® 100 provides superior hardness and ultra-high strength combined with exceptional ductility and fracture toughness. The alloy has a minimum tensile strength of 1930 MPa (280 ksi) and a minimum fracture toughness of 100 ksi.
The exceptional combination of hardness, toughness, tensile strength and ductility makes this alloy a candidate for aerospace applications including landing gear, engine shafts and drive shafts.
AerMet® 100 may be considered for use up to about 427°C.
