U.S. Alpine Championships—Super G

Super giant slalom, or super-G, is a high-speed alpine skiing race. Introduced to the World Cup in 1983, it's a "speed" event, distinct from the technical giant slalom and slalom. Racers navigate a course with gates, turning more than in downhill but maintaining faster speeds than in giant slalom.
