Sun Valley Resort provides a complimentary season pass protection program to cover all Challenger Platinum, Challenger, Freedom Found, and Dollar Mountain pass holders if their season is cut short due to the following personal events:

• Injury or illness that prevents you from skiing or riding for the remainder of the season
• Pregnancy
• Military service
• Stay-at-home order issued by county, state, or country

If your personal coverage event occurs, you may be eligible for the following refunds based upon the date of your request and the number of days skied/ridden in the current season: 

• 80% refund: December 15, 2023 | 5 days or fewer skied/ridden
• 50% refund: January 15, 2024 | 10 days or fewer skied/ridden
• 30% refund: February 15, 2024 | 15 days or fewer skied/ridden

If your refund request occurs after February 15, 2024, or you have skied/ridden 16 days or more during the season, you are not eligible for a refund.
